In this podcast episode Patricia Pearce interviews Dr. Paula Green, founder of the Karuna Center for Peacebuilding and 2009 recipient of the Dalai Lama’s “Unsung Hero of Compassion” award, an award presented to “individuals who, through their loving kindness and service to others, have made their communities and our world a better place.”
After 40 years working with conflict transformation in over 30 conflict-torn countries, in the aftermath of the 2016 presidential election Paula helped launch the Hands Across the Hills project, bringing together a small community from Massachusetts and a small community from Kentucky—towns at polar opposites of the political divide—to discover what unites them.
